Ze speelde een grote rol in de film Bride Flight, stond maandenlang 
als Rachel Hazes op de planken in het DeLaMar Theater, werd genomineerd 
voor een Musical Award en is nu te zien in de nieuwe serie familie 
Kruys: Elise Schaap! AskMen sprak met deze 32-jarige actrice.<br />

In de nieuwe serie familie Kruys volgen we de avonturen van 
sterrenstylist Bette Kruys (Linda de Mol), die haar prins op het witte 
paard nog steeds niet heeft gevonden en steevast worstelt met haar 
overtollige kilo’s. Elise zien we in deze komedie terug als Roemeense 
importbruid. Eentje die haar ondeugende gedachtes niet onder stoelen of 
banken steekt en niet schroomt om zich van haar kleren te ontdoen.<br />

Pikante scènes</h4>
We zien deze 32-jarige schone dan ook regelmatig in niemendalletjes 
door het beeld dartelen. “Problemen met de erotische scènes? Nee, die 
had ik niet. Ik vond het vooral waanzinnig leuk om te spelen. Dat komt 
ook omdat alle scènes heel geestig zijn ingestoken. Wél vond ik het 
natuurlijk even spannend om mezelf terug te zien op beeld, maar dat was 
meer omdat ik benieuwd was naar de reacties vanuit het publiek.”<br />

Op de keukentafel, in de slaapkamer of middenin de woonkamer: overal 
weet het alter ego van Elise het hoofd van haar dertig jaar oudere 
tegenspeler op hol te brengen. Haar zwoele Roemeense accent draagt daar 
zeker een steentje aan bij. Al is dat wel iets waar ze als Oer-Hollandse
 eventjes op moest oefenen. “Het is voor mij juist een uitdaging om een 
typetje als Ruxandra neer te zetten inclusief haar accent.”<br />

“Ik heb contact opgenomen met een Roemeense coach en haar het hemd 
van het lijf gevraagd”, vervolgt Elise. “Over de vrouwen in het land, 
maar ook over de cultuur, de mannen en het eten. Daarnaast had ze echt 
een fantastisch accent. Dat heb ik opgenomen met een recorder en 
vervolgens heb ik thuis voortdurend geoefend om het zo goed mogelijk na 
te bootsen.”<br />

Overeenkomsten</h4>
Hoewel Elisa in haar rol als Roemeense stoeipoes erg overtuigend 
overkomt, moet ze op de vraag in hoeverre ze op elkaar lijken vooral erg
 lachen. “Een Roemeense ex-paaldanseres. Nee, daar kan ik mezelf niet 
echt in herkennen. Maar het is juist interessant om iemand te spelen die
 niet in lijn ligt met je eigen persoonlijkheid. Dat maakt Ruxandra 
juist leuk”, aldus Elise.
