photographer Blake Little has been working on a series he calls "Preservation" for the past several years. The idea is simple: get a hunch of people of ages and body types to take some or all of their clothes off; cover them head to toe in buckets of sweet, sticky honey; photograph them; and give me nightmare fodder for the rest of my life. (Seriously, I have a minor freak out if I put my arm on the table at IHOP and get a little bit of maple syrup on it. Having anything like this happen to me would probably send me into full-blown

send me into full-blown cardiac arrest.)

According to Little, the honey gives the impression of the model being encased in amber, hence the name "Preservation."

Or this hair? I'd probably just end up cutting it all off and restarting my life with a clean slate and psychological aversion to honey.

The only thing more disturbing than the idea of being covered in honey is touching somebody who is covered in honey while you're covered in honey.

In this NSFW video, you can see Little's assistants pouring literal buckets of honey over the models just before the photo is taken.

This poor kid. He's pretty much brand new on this Earth, and he's already learned that this kind of horrible experience is an actual thing that can happen to you.
